Replaced (21) fluorescent 72″, 84″, and 117″ T12HO lamps with sign-rated line-voltage LED lamps in three exterior signs at a veterinary clinic. The existing sockets were reused, and the expensive and high-maintenance cold-weather ballasts were eliminated. Energy consumption was reduced by 22,000 kWh, and the signs are now much more visible, and the colors on the sign-faces really stand out. When the new lamps reach their end of life, they can easily be replaced.
